A comprehensive rehabilitation of the Brooklyn Bridge approach ramps, involving full deck replacement, structural steel inspection and repair, enhanced pedestrian pathways, improved lighting, and modern drainage systems. The project was executed under live traffic conditions with zero lane closures during peak hours.

The Challenge

Maintaining traffic flow on one of New York's busiest crossings while replacing the full bridge deck required precision sequencing and night-only structural work without compromising the integrity of the 140-year-old heritage structure.

Our Solution

An innovative segmental deck replacement system allowed 40-foot sections to be prefabricated off-site, transported by barge, and craned into position overnight, minimizing on-bridge construction time and protecting heritage masonry from vibration.
